As a committee member of the Toller Club Of Great Britain, which is a breed club for the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever , it was raised that the club needed to provide for its members a breed browser that would allow them to see details on all dogs bred and/or registered in the UK.

After looking at many existing breed browsers it became clear that none were suitable for the clubs need. The club required a fully interactive solution based off a database to provide powerful searching and linking capabilities and existing ones either were merely a dull collection of individual webpages that offered no usability or whilst based on a database did not have the flexibility and searching facilities to produce the kind of solution our members deserved.

With this in mind we set about writing our own solution, that is entirely written in PHP and connects to a MySQL database. Due to the sheer number and flexibility of the fields we have created to represent each dog in the database the searching and statistical reporting we can produce are almost limitless.

The system incorporates a system that allows the end user of your site the ability to update details on breeders, their dogs along with the ability to upload pictures of their dogs. All of these are then placed into moderation queues which are presented in a full administration panel where they can be approve or declined.
